About the role

The Tyro Cyber Security Advisory function provides advisory services across Tyro. Securing change in both the project and BAU technology space. Advisors are the eyes and ears of security, fostering relationships between key stakeholders, whilst ensuring that security impact is recognised and mitigated through recommendations, collaboration and involvement of Security SME’s whilst addressing business needs and keeping Tyro within risk appetite.
This is a technical hands-on position and a typical work week in the role is expected to be distributed as:

What you'll do

• Develop an understanding of the Tyro Payments and Tyro Health Online, products and technology stack.

• Provide technical implementation and assessment with regulatory and industry standards like CPS234, CIS, PCI-DSS and ISO27001 to assess security initiatives across assigned business verticals

• Perform technical security assessments of complex product architecture and advise the business on pragmatic security patterns and controls to be implemented.

• Provide advice on the design and implementation of technical security controls in a complex technology infrastructure stack to protect customer trust.

• Conduct Security Assessments, Third Party Assessments and Design reviews in strategic aligned delivery projects.

• Support teammates in a collaborative manner.

• Employ and uplift processes relating to cyber security engagements to promote team efficiency.

• Contribute to the development and upliftment of security architectural patterns.

• Meet with key stakeholders and assist in the gathering of evidence to support security control operating effectiveness.

What you'll bring

• Have relevant cyber security experience with key responsibilities in consulting/advisory.

• Strong understanding of security technical concepts

• Be a collaborative team player.

• Have strong communication and influencing skills and ability to communicate with technical and non- technical stakeholders.

• Strong understanding of regulatory and industry standards like CPS234, CIS, PCI-DSS and ISO27001 to assess security initiatives across assigned business verticals

• Strong ability to context switch

• A broad-spectrum experience in Information Technology, Cyber Security and Data Management concepts.

• Understanding of Azure and AWS cloud services

• Must hold a relevant security certification like CISSP or CISM certification.
