About the role
The Digital Marketing Manager – Organic Sales plays a critical role in driving lead and application growth through Tyro’s owned and non-paid digital channels. This role is focused on building and executing high-performing organic acquisition strategies across search and content, creating traffic-generating campaigns and digital assets that improve performance and strengthen Tyro’s market positioning. You’ll plan and deliver a pipeline of organic activity, research industry trends and opportunities, and author compelling content that positions Tyro as a trusted industry authority, while ensuring all assets are executed to best-practice standards within our CMS and brand guidelines.
Working closely with a high-performing marketing team (including design, paid media, CRO and agency partners), you’ll be laser-focused on KPIs, customer experience, and continuous optimisation. Reporting to the Digital Sales & Martech Lead, you’ll use data and insights to plan, publish, measure, and refine organic strategies that drive leads, applications, and revenue growth, while collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners to help Tyro consistently achieve its growth targets.
What you'll do
Growth Lead & Apps
Establish the search, content and additional media channels strategy with clear plans & KPI’s for driving growth & acquisition as measured by leads, apps & revenue.
Research, plan, build and execute the plan using identified SEO insights, trends & opportunities. Identify & deploy new media types such as video, socials or webinars to increase our reach & engagement.
Explore and implement new digital marketing channels or tactics.
Report on performance, including commentary around identifying trends, risks and opportunities, and budgets spent and targets to date.
Increase the performance of organic search as a channel YoY, and have a shared KPI with the PPC team of increased performance of paid media (inc Paid Search, Paid Social, Display etc) as a channel YoY
Traffic: Search and Content
Own & deliver the content roadmap including writing & producing digital long-form, video, short or other content in the finance & payments industry, including researching trends, effective keywords and identifying key pain points & motivators for our target industry verticals.
Deliver customer-facing digital content to support Product, Customer, Partner and Brand teams, including but not limited to product launches, blog content, brand events and partner/alliance opportunities.
Build effective search content including supporting with paid campaign landing pages, and optimise using CRO tools & stakeholders to drive improved lead & application volumes.
Platforms & Partnerships
Build, author and produce web content in the CMS, and work with developers to brief & build new CMS components as required.
Be a business expert on our website CMS (WordPress) including user access management & leading training to democratise access across the Marketing team.
Be the business-owner for search engine optimisation (SEO) research, working with our SEO and web development agencies to improve our technical posture as well as our content.
Be the key stakeholder for external SEO agencies such that you manage the ongoing task creation & assignment including the regular management and project communications and stand ups, and the QA of all creative implementation & deployment changes.
Ability to research & optimise Paid Search campaigns & performance to support our Paid Media Marketing team.
Other digital channels
Support the development and implementation of the overarching Digital Marketing strategy to achieve the company objectives.
Take ownership of wider-digital channel duties supporting team members when they are on leave
Explore, test and introduce new digital channels that can drive new sales in your remit
General
Understand and position Tyro’s products and services to attract and engage an audience to take the intended action
Create or support Tyro marketing campaigns and initiatives in your channels. Communicate updates to sales, service and other teams indicating when support is required and gaining insights and feedback about your leads
Coordinate the delivery of affected & dependent requirements in end-to-end campaigns
What you'll bring
Proven experience, 8yrs+ in Digital Marketing, with a focus in building new capabilities in organic channels.
Proven capability in SEO, particularly writing & researching web content in the finance/payments space or related industries.
Experience in producing digital assets in a CMS
Familiarity across all digital marketing channels such as SEO, SEM, Programmatic and CRO
Ability to track & measure using tag managers, analytics platforms and other relevant 3rd party platforms
Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira and Confluence
Hands on experience working with agencies
Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritise work
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organisational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment
A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements
