About the role
As Tyro enters the Enterprise segment, this role will be pivotal in defining how high-value merchants (>$100M TTV) are brought onto the Tyro ecosystem. In close collaboration with the Sales or Account Manager who leads the commercial relationship, the Senior Manager, Enterprise Merchant Implementation & Onboarding will translate commercial commitments into flawless execution — owning delivery from agreement through to activation.
This role is both strategic and hands-on — equal parts project conductor, technical translator, and operational enabler. You will coordinate across Sales, Product, Technology, Compliance, Operations, Account Management and External Partners (POS, eCommerce platforms, PSPs, etc.) to ensure Tyro delivers a premium onboarding experience that instils trust from day one.
What you'll do
Enterprise Merchant Intake & Readiness
Participate in late-stage pitch discussions to validate technical, operational, and integration requirements early.
Translate commercial agreements into clear, actionable implementation plans with roles, timelines, and dependencies defined.
Oversee complex application and compliance workflows
Manage the orchestration of enterprise-level documentation and approval processes, including applications requiring multiple director signatures, hybrid paper/digital submissions, and structured KYC/AML and risk assessments.
Coordinate closely with Legal, Compliance, and Merchant stakeholders to ensure precision across every approval gate with zero delay or ambiguity.
Program Management of Merchant Onboarding
Lead and orchestrate end-to-end onboarding, from application completion and underwriting coordination to payment configuration and go-live enablement.
Manage cross-functional delivery across internal teams and external partners (e.g., POS vendors, software integrators, acquiring networks).
Technical & Operational Enablement
Oversee configuration of all online and in-store payment methods, including terminals, APIs, ecommerce gateways, and alternative payment types.
Ensure all integrations meet performance, compliance, and resilience standards, proactively identifying risks or blockers.
Stakeholder & Merchant Communications
Act as the primary point of accountability to the merchant throughout implementation.
Provide structured reporting, status updates, and governance rigor appropriate for high-value enterprise engagements.
Continuous Improvement & Playbook Development
Establish repeatable frameworks, documentation, and operating models to scale enterprise onboarding efficiently.
Capture insights and feedback to influence future product, process, and tooling enhancements
What you'll bring
Experience in enterprise-scale implementation, onboarding, or technical project management, ideally within payments, SaaS, financial services, or POS/eCommerce ecosystems.
Strong understanding of payment processing flows (in-store, online, integrated/API-based)and key merchant operational workflows.
Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and orchestration skills — able to operate with gravitas in high-value commercial environments.
Comfortable switching between strategic planning and hands-on delivery.
