About the role
The Operational Excellence Lead plays a critical role in ensuring change is effectively delivered and embedded across Tyro’s Growth function. This position owns the Growth Readiness Framework, ensuring that all initiatives impacting Sales, Customer Support, and Strategic Accounts are thoroughly assessed, risk-validated, enabled, and launched in a structured and controlled manner.
In addition, the role leads the RCQ and Training function, driving regulatory compliance, maintaining quality standards, and continuously strengthening frontline capability. Balancing delivery pace with operational stability and risk discipline, this role ensures Growth initiatives are executed with both speed and governance at the forefront.
What you'll do
Operational Excellence & Change
Own and enforce the Growth Readiness Framework as the standard governance model for Growth initiatives.
Ensure all changes follow structured readiness gates (impact assessment, enablement planning, RCQ validation, go-live readiness and review).
Maintain a centralised view of the Growth change pipeline.
Prioritise and sequence initiatives to manage change saturation risk.
Escalate initiatives that do not meet governance requirements.
Lead complex cross-functional change impacting Growth.
Ensure change is translated into practical frontline enablement (training, SOPs, knowledge articles, scripts, communications).
Act as the key interface between Growth and Product, Engineering, Risk, Compliance and Program Delivery.
Team Leadership
Lead and develop 2 Change Managers and 3 Enablement Specialists.
Ensure clear accountability between change design and enablement delivery.
Drive consistent standards and continuous improvement across business units.
Risk, Compliance, Quality & Training
Ensure implementation of the Tyro Operational Risk Framework within Growth.
Lead RCSA activities and monitor KRIs.
Embed regulatory and compliance requirements into all change initiatives.
Own QA frameworks across frontline teams.
Use QA insights to improve process, training and controls.
Own the annual Growth training strategy, including onboarding and regulatory training.
Measure training effectiveness through QA, performance and risk outcomes.
Leadership & Governance
Be a member of the Extended Growth Leadership and Growth Operations Leadership Teams.
Contribute to quarterly planning and Board/XLT reporting.
Build a culture of operational discipline, accountability and continuous improvement.
Role model strong risk behaviours and Tyro values.
What you'll bring
7+ years in operational change, risk, controls or transformation leadership.
Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams (change, enablement, risk, quality, training).
Strong understanding of risk and compliance in financial services.
Proven ability to embed structured change in frontline sales and service environments.
Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
