About the role

As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead a complex cloud migration, remediation, and business transformation initiatives. This role requires a strong balance between technical delivery, stakeholder engagement, and organisational change management, acting as the bridge between business and technology teams.

You will be responsible for delivering large-scale programs that involve migrating legacy systems to the cloud, remediating existing platforms/processes, and managing this business change, ensuring alignment with business objectives and minimal disruption to operations.

What you'll do

Program & Project Delivery

• Lead end-to-end delivery of cloud migration and remediation programs.

• Define project scope, timelines, budgets, and resource plans across multiple streams.

• Manage risks, dependencies, and critical path, including remediation of legacy issues, technical debt, and control gaps.

• Ensure delivery adheres to governance, compliance, and quality standards.

• Lead Steering Committees, providing clear, insight-driven updates on delivery progress, risk and outcomes.

• All aspects of deployment and release management, including coordination across business and technical teams.

Cloud, Technical & Remediation Oversight

• Work closely with architects and engineering teams on cloud strategy, migration approach, and remediation plans.

• Translate technical concepts into clear business language.

• Ensure alignment between technical solutions, remediation outcomes, and business requirements.

• Manage vendors, system integrators, and third-party partners.

Oversee remediation activities including;

• Legacy system stabilisation and decommissioning

• Technical debt reduction

• Security, risk, and compliance uplift

• Data quality and integrity improvements

Business Engagement & Stakeholder Management

• Act as a trusted advisor to senior business stakeholders.

• Drive organisational change alongside migration and remediation efforts.

• Ensure impacted teams are prepared for process, system, and control changes.

• Partner with change managers to support adoption and readiness.

• Align outcomes with business improvement, risk reduction, and operational efficiency.

Financial & Commercial Management

• Manage budgets, forecasting, and cost tracking (including remediation costs).

• Support business case development covering migration and remediation investments.

• Track benefits realisation including risk reduction, cost optimisation, and performance improvements.

What you'll bring

• 8+ years experience in project/program management.

• Proven delivery of cloud migration and/or remediation programs (e.g. platform uplift, risk remediation, tech debt reduction).

• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Experience managing regulatory, risk, or audit-driven remediation initiatives.

The ability to operate at both:

• Technical level (engineering, architecture, remediation planning).

• Business level (executive stakeholders, risk & compliance teams).

• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

• Experience across Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments.

Desirable experience:

• Experience in regulated industries (financial services, fintech, government).

• Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile.

• Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP).

• Experience working with risk, audit, or compliance frameworks.
