Tyro Health is seeking a Quality & Test Automation Engineer with a specialised focus on Integration Testing. In this role, you will help us deliver reliable, high-quality digital health experiences by ensuring our products work as designed and that potential issues are identified early.
A primary focus of this position is to validate the compatibility of our payment card terminals across 50+ existing practice management system (PMS) integrations. You will combine systematic manual testing of payment operations with the development of sophisticated test automation frameworks to ensure seamless performance and backwards compatibility
What you'll do
Automation Development: Design, build, and maintain test automation suites for our services, specifically focusing on Node.js and React web applications.
Integration Testing: Execute comprehensive test plans across diverse PMS integrations using .NET libraries, JavaScript libraries, and RESTful JSON APIs.
Terminal Operations: Test critical payment functions including terminal pairing, merchant configuration, purchase/refund processing, and end-of-day reconciliation.
Claims & Reporting: Validate claims operations and associated reporting functionality to ensure system efficiency.
Defect Management: Identify deficiencies in existing scenarios, collect transaction logs for failed operations, and collaborate with engineers to identify root causes.
Stakeholder Coordination: Work with external integration partners and third-party vendors to certify new functionality and resolve technical issues.
Continuous Improvement: Improve test and quality assessment capabilities, tooling, and procedural documentation for major operations.
What you'll bring
Technical Proficiency: Proven experience in test automation using Node.js and React, alongside a solid understanding of .NET and RESTful APIs.
DevOps Mastery: Knowledge of leading DevOps practices, including Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD).
Testing Rigor: Extensive experience in integration or system testing, preferably within payment systems or healthcare technology.
Systems Thinking: Ability to apply system-thinking skills to identify how localised changes might adversely impact the overall platform.
Environment Management: Experience managing testing across varied deployment environments, including cloud-hosted SaaS (AWS/Azure), virtual machines, and local installations.
Documentation: Exceptional skills in documenting test results with visual evidence (screenshots/video) and creating clear procedural guides.
Nice to have
Attention to Detail: You possess unquestionable attention to detail and a methodical approach to execution.
Advanced Quality Concepts: You have a passion for bug-prevention, testability, accessibility, and privacy.
Adaptability: You thrive in a fast-paced, autonomous environment and remain pragmatic under pressure.
Culture Fit: You are tenacious, good humoured and pragmatic
