About the Role
At Tyro Health, we’re transforming the way Australian healthcare businesses manage payments and claims. We provide innovative EFTPOS and payment solutions that keep things moving seamlessly.
The primary role of the Onboarding Specialist is to process applications for our customers, providing a ‘best in industry’ experience through adhering to the customer best practices, being authentic, empathetic, engaging and risk aware.
What you'll do
Application processing:
Review and evaluate merchant applications to ensure all required documentation and information are complete and accurate.
Validate the authenticity of merchant documents and confirm adherence to eligibility criteria.
Coordinate with internal teams to facilitate the creation of merchant accounts, ensuring timely and efficient activation.
Complete processing of application end to end, including data entry and customer contact.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of all onboarding activities in the company’s systems.
Customer engagement:
Serve as the primary point of contact for merchants during the onboarding process, providing updates and support.
Coordinate the receipt and follow-up of all information and documents needed to process merchant applications.
Take inbound calls from merchants who require assistance with their applications.
Communicate with merchants via email and phone call to resolve any issues with their application.
Accurately document all customer interactions and resolutions in relevant systems.
Collect and report customer feedback to help improve products, services, and customer support processes.
Collect and report any customer complaints in accordance with Tyro policies and procedures.
Risk Management
Work closely with the Risk Assessment Team to ensure that applications are compliant with the correct documentation required sourced from the merchant.
Responsible for the identification and management of risk in day-to-day responsibilities.
Comply with Tyro policies and procedures including completing mandatory training within the required timeframes.
Role model positive risk behaviours and contribute towards a strong risk culture at Tyro.
Adherence to policies and procedures
Follow established procedures, scripts, and guidelines.
Adhere to compliance standards and regulations governing support activities, such as Tyro policies, data privacy laws and industry regulations.
Achieve operational service level agreements with high standards of professionalism.
Accurately document your activities in relevant systems Live the Tyro values
Provide support and assistance to colleagues as needed, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Take initiative in self-development by seeking out additional training opportunities, workshops, or resources to enhance skills and knowledge.
Set personal goals for professional growth and development, working towards advancement within the organisation.
Represent the company positively in all interactions with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders.

Raise potential risk issues in daily operations across systems, policies and procedures that may result in Tyro being exposed to financial instability, fraud, not fulfilling regulatory requirements or litigation including behaviours that may be discriminatory or undermine Tyro’s values.
What you'll bring
Minimum one year administration or data entry experience.
High level of attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent time management and organisational skills.
Problem solving & customer needs analysis.
Ability to multitask and manage priorities.
Health industry experience in an administrative capacity is desirable
Experience in the financial services industry, preferably within payment facilities/gateways is desirable
